Here's a Savoy Records 78 in good condition playing "Nothing But a God" by The Roberta Martin Singers with Norsalus McKissick leading. The song was written by James Cleveland in 1956 and recorded in 1957. Embedding is not allowed, so you'll have to click the link to see and hear it.

Hello Joseph,
ReplyDeleteThank you for creating a link to this wonderful record.
I'm also writing about two other issues. First, I have moved all of my gospel posts to a separate blog called, Bless My Bones! So if you don't enjoy wading through all of the other types of music that I post, you might want to change your link to this one which is devoted strictly to classic gospel up to about 1960:
http://blessmybones.blogspot.com/
Secondly, do you have your blog's feed turned off? The link I have on Catch That Train and Testify! to The Golden Era Gospel Blog says that it can't record when you add a new post. There is a feature where you can turn this on and off. If it's turned on your blog moves to the top of the list when you post something new. Just thought I'd let you know, in case you weren't aware of this.
Best wishes,
Marie
Thanks for the tip Marie. I wasn't even aware it was turned off. I have it on now.
